Oral history interview with Martin D. Metzon, Nov. 18 and Dec. 3, 1986.

Metzon discusses his early life in Denmark, his family background, and employment. He describes in detail the rescue evacuation of Danish Jews (including Metzon) to Sweden in 1943. He alludes to special treatment of Danish Jews deported to Theresienstadt. Metzon came to Seattle in the mid-1950s, studied for a CPA degree at the University of Washington, and joined the firm of Moss Adams. He talks about his affiliation with the Jewish Club of Washington, B'nai B'rith, and Temple Beth Am, which he served as president from 1975 to 1977.
